Richard Garfield Weede (b. Sept. 26, 1911, Sterling, Kan.-d. Oct. 22, 1985, Portsmouth, Va.), U.S. Marine Corps officer, graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1935. He served on Guam prior to the outbreak of World War II when he joined the 2nd Defense Battalion on American Samoa.
